Childhood is the time of training and discipline to become an adult and its capabilities. This can be done through formal education. It was also said that a child is prone to sin and evil unless they are controlled by their parents and school. The length of "training" or education lengthened through the course of time due to the demands of education and requiremnt of adult knowledge.
