Battles of Chattanooga (nov 23, 1863 – nov 25, 1863)

Description:

November 23-25, 1863: The Union army drove off the Confederacy in Tennessee at the battles of Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge, which were known as the Battles of Chattanooga. When the Union won, it forced the Confederacy to retreat back to Georgia, which ended the siege of the vital railroad junction. It was also important because it helped Union General William Tecumseh Sherman’s Atlanta campaign.
