Darfur Genocide (1h 26min, feb 26, 2003 y – 16h 56min, apr 26, 2024 y)
Description:
After being mistreated for so long, two rebel mainly non-Arab Muslim groups rose up against the Khartoum Arab government. In response, the government released militia forces known as the Janjaweed. Attacks included severely injuring and killing non-Arabs, burning homes, stealing or burning food and livestock, and poisoning water wells. The government also bombs the non-Arabs, whether they are part of the rebel forces or innocent civilians. Currently, over 480,000 people have been murdered and 2.8 million have been displaced. Around 360,000 people have fled to refugee camps, as the genocide still lives.
