In the year of 2007, Twitter spins off into its own company. After announcing that twitter had a closed a funding round, the additional five million dollar round, rounds off the company, making them have a net worth of 20 Million. The hashtag (#), first proposed by user Chris Messina, debuts on Twitter. This would be used by almost every user in later years. Twttr, is now "Twitter"
