Copernicus (feb 19, 1473 – may 24, 1543)
Description:
Copernicus formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than Earth at the center of the universe. His ideas were no taken seriously until 1543 by Galileo.
His greatest discovery was that the sun is in the middle of the universe, not the Earth.
