The tallest building in the world
After 6 years of building, the UAE had finished
building the world's tallest building, the Burj
Khalifa. It has an impressive height of 828m tall
and 830m to the tip of it with 163 floors. To this
day, UAE still holds the record for the tallest
building in the world.The first cargo of oil exported
In 1962, the first cargo of oil was exported
from Abu Dhabi. Before this, UAE's economy
depended on fishing, and a declining
pearl industry. Since this start, UAE's
economy has developed and grown majorly.Discovery of oil in Abu Dhabi
Good reserves of oil were discovered
by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan
in 1958 in Abu Dhabi.The UAE is founded
On December 2, 1971, the rulers of six of the
emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah,
Ajman, and Umm al-Quwain). Sheikh Zayed bin
Sultan Al Nahyan served as President since the
formation of the federation. The flag of
the country was made by Abdullah
Mohammed Al Maainah who at the time
was 19 years old. On February 10, 1972,
Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation.Arrival of Islam
After the opening of Mecca, Islam arrived in the UAE.
Envoys from Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
had reached the UAE and Islam was

many pearl divers moved closer
to coastal areas so they could get
closer to work. This was one of the

were taken place by the first oil
company teams in UAE.
