The Spinning Jenny Was Invented James Hargreaves invented the spinning jenny in 1764. The Spinning Jenny allowed workers to spin more wool at a time greatly improving the productivity of the factories. This invention was a big factor towards the industrialization of the textile industry. .
The Steam Engine Was Invented James Watt invented the first reliable steam engine in 1755. Before this other models had been invented but they were unreliable and inefficient. His invention was the base model for many new inventions, making the locomotives and many of the textile machines possible. .
The Power Loom Was Invented Edmund Cartwright Invented the power loom in 1785, to help him he employed a blacksmith and carpenter to help him. The machine that they created drastically improved the speed of which the thread could be weaved now it could all be done by machines making it much faster and easier. Finally by 1850 there were over 250,000 power looms in Britain making this a very significant invention duing the Industrial Revolution .
The Cotton Gin Was Invented Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin in 1794. Before his invention of the cotton gin it was very labor intensive not only to separate the fiber from the cotton seed but to raise the cotton as well. Only large farms found this process cost effective. Now though with the invention of the cotton gin it created a massive increase in the amount of cotton being produced because anyone could now earn a profit from it. This invention created a big surge in the economy. .
The Telegraph Was Invented The Telegraph was invented in 1836 by Samuel F. B. Morse. This was a very important discovery and invention as it changed communication altogether. Instant communication was now possible allowing people to know what had happened almost as it had happened. It revolutionised all types of communication. .

The sewing machine made sewing much faster and easier as it could now be done by using a machines power instead of by hand. This changed the way clothing was made there was now a mass production of clothing, ready for the growing population. .
