1769-1789 Bad Harvest During this time of 20 years the bad harvest made many commoners go into poverty with little food.
1789 Estates General Meeting Estates meet for an assembly. The votes for reformation by the third estate were denied by the first and second estate as the vote was done by estate and not by majority.
June 13th, 1789 National Assembly Members of the third estate declared itself an assembly on the tennis court and said that they represent the people.
June 20th, 1789 Tennis Court Oath During the national assembly, the people made an oath to create a new constitution for the country.
July 14th, 1789 Storming of Bastille Mobs attacks the Bastille and takes it down. It gave the mobs weapons that Bastille had.
August 27th, 1789 Declaration of Rights of Man Written to show the rights that every man should have. Inspired the future constitution.
September 3rd, 1791 Constitution of 1791 Constitution created by the National Assembly. It kept the monarchy. Many men had the right to vote for the electors.
September 5th, 1793 - July 28th, 1794 Reign of Terror Period of time when Robespierre beheaded anyone that he thought was against reform.
January 21st, 1793 King and Queen gets beheaded The king and queen are beheaded by the guillotine. This marked the start of the Reign of Terror.
1799 Napoleon Rises to power Napoleon rises to power and becomes the dictator of France. He ruled for 16 years. He expanded France and almost conquered most of Europe.
