1663- Robert Hooke discovers cells. I had to add extra or I could not make it bigger
1674- Antonvon Leewenhoek discovers unicellular organisms.
1838- Matthias Schleiden realizes all plants are made of cells.
1839- Theodor Schwann realizes all animals are made of cells.
1855- Rudolph Virchow proposes that cells break into another cell.
1886- Ernst Abbe and Carl Zesis invent the modern compound microscope.
