1919 - June , 28th - Treaty Of Versailles signed
1918 - November , 9th - Kaiser (Wilhelm II) forced to abdicate and Germany left without a leader - Weimar Republic set up by the Allies. It was a first time democracy was used in Germany.
1919 - September , 12th - Hitler joins the DAP party - The DAP party eventually becomes the NSDP party (Nazi Party) - Hitler eventually becomes the leader
1923 - Invasion of the Ruhr - Germany could no longer pay reparations so France invaded the industrial part of Germany - Ruhr workers go on strike , this worsened Germanys economy - Government printed more money and became worthless. - Start of hyperinflation
1923 - November , 8th - 1923 - November , 9th - Munich Putsch - A failed coup attempt by the Nazi Party by Adolf Hitler along with Ludendorff - Attemped seize at power
1924 - Hitler thrown in jail for his actions during the Munich Putsch - Time where he wrote Mein Kampf - Only served 10 months in prison - Was allowed to broadcast Nazi views in prison and becomes widespread
1925 - April , 4th - SS Established - Initially Hitlers bodyguard but became party militia
1920 - SA established - Party Militia
1930 - Nazis gain 18.3& of the vote - Become second largest party
1932 - Nazi gain 37.4% of the vote. - Become largest party - But Hitler failed in becoming President
1933 - January , 30th - Hitler becomes chancellor - Appoited by President Hindenburg - Hindenburg had no option as Von Papen and Von Schelicher only lasted 2 and 6 months. Von Papen becomes vice-chancellor
1933 - February , 27th - Reichstag Fire - Reichstag building is set on fire and communist Van der Lubbe is caught red-handed and communists were banned from the elections
1933 - March , 5th - General Election - Nazis get 44% of vote
1933 - March , 23rd - Enabling Act in place - Allows Hitler the right to make his own laws - But Hindenburg still opposes Hitler
1934 - June , 30th - Night of the Long Knives - Hitler murders 400 SA members, including Rohm along with other political opponents - Hitler got the support of the army ( very influenctial)
1934 - August , 19th - Hindenburg dies - Hitler becomes Fuhrer
1926 - July , 4th - Hitler Youth Introduced
1933 - March , 22nd - First camp opened in Dachhau. - First used for re -education (Political Dissidants) and they could be released - Was quite vilent

1935 - September , 15th - Nuremberg Laws introduced - Took away Jewish rights of citizenship
1936 - March , 7th - Re-occupation of the Rhineland - Troops sent into the Rhineland
1937 - Germany needed women workers - Introduced a compulsory 'duty year'
1939 - October - T4 program begins - 275,000 German people killed after being deemed 'incurably sick'
1938 - November , 3rd - Kristallnacht - 20,000 Jews sent to camps and 100 killed. - Goebbels was behind it
1939 - May , 21st - Cross of Honour of the German Mother introduced - Encouraged women to have more babies
1937 - Nazis needed women workers - Introduced the compulsory 'duty year'
