- Literacy Test Introduced
- Immigrants had to take a
literacy test to be allowed
access,
- Mainly Targeted at Russians
and Eastern Europeans1921 - The Emergency Quota Act
- Emergency Quota Act Introduced
- Restricted the numbers of immigrants
to 357,000 Per Year
- Quota meant: Only 3% of the total
population of any overseas group
already in the USA in 1920 could come
in after 19211924 - The National Origins Act
- Reduced the maximum number
of immigrants a year to 150,000
- And cut the Quota to: 2%, based
on the population of the USA in

people with an unfair trial and lead
to serious consequences. This resulted in many communist being arrested .
