1916- a provincial committee
recommended to reduce
the number of reserves further
by adding land to some and
eliminating land from others.1927- the government decided
that aboriginals had not
established any claims to the land.1931- the newly created native
brotherhood of British Columbia
continued to fight for recognition
of aboriginal title .it was not until the early 1990s
however, that the federal and
provincial governments
recognizes aboriginal communities
