Exodus 1 Ki 6:1, Jud 11:26 ( Ex 1:11) 1444 BC

Solomon builds Temple 480 yrs after Exodus 996 BC, 1 Ki 6:1

4-Jacob 130, & family move to Egypt; Joseph a. 40 yrs old Gen 47:9

1-Joseph 17 sold into slavery; Jacob 107 yrs old, Gen 37:2, 27ff

2-Joseph 30, enters Pharaoh's service, Jacob 120, Gen 41:46

5-Joseph 40, his brothers come to Egypt & bow to him, Jacob 130; Gen 41:53

6-Jacob dies at 147, 17 yrs after arriving in Egypt, Joseph is a. 57 yrs old, Gen 47:28

3-Joseph's son's born to him a couple of years before the famine, Gen 41:50

Jephthah - 300 yrs since the Exodus Judg 11:26, ca. 1260 BC

7-Joseph dies at 110 , 50 yrs. after Jacob, Gen 50:22

9 months to build the taberacle Ex 40:1, 16-17 Erected 1 yr to the day after the Exodus 27 sep 1445 BC

The exact time frame Genesis covers is unknown. We do know it records the beginning of history starting with creation and obviously includes Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Genesis focuses on creation, Ch. 1-2, and on the fall and SIN, Ch 3. It then gives special attention to the devastating, catastrophic and universal effects of the SIN as sin spread to all and all died, Ch 5. So too, human nature became corrupt at its very heart (Gen 6:5-6) with pervasive and universal wickedness

Israel 430 yrs in Egypt

Genesis

Ex 19:1 Israel was at Mt. Sinai for 9 months. Moses received the Law (Exodus 19-Numbers 10:11). Israel erected the Tabernacle & the glory of God filled it--the cloud by day and fire by night, Ex 40:16-38, Num 9:15. *The covenant & tabernacle instructions Ex 19-40 *Instructions for sacrifices, priests, & holiness Lev 1- Num 10, 18-19 *Israel celebrates their 2nd Passover in the wilderness (Num 9:1ff) and then depart for the promised land (Num 10:11).
