28 July 1914 World War One has broke out and Canada is dragged into the war on Britian's side, fighting Germany and the axis powers.
9 April 1917 The Battle of Vimy Ridge breaks out with all divisions of the Canadian Corps fighting together for the first time.
12 April 1917 The Battle of Vimy Ridge ends. Canadians sustain heavy cassualties but succeed in taking the hill.
WW1 Ends And the allies have won.
Hill 145 The 4th Canadian Division Takes over Hill 145. This is the most important part of Vimy Ridge. This was a very important achivement for the Canadians.

WW1 This event is very signifacant because if csused a lot of damage to our society and caused us to remember this as a war with a lot of bloodshed. This war will remember this because of that. The Canadians plpayed a great role in this war as they were feared by the Germans for their bravery.
WW1-cont. The Canadians captured and held many points that were not been able to be held by the British, French, and Australians. This is an ideal place for a monument because it is very important event that shows the bravery of Canada.
