Attack on Fort Duquesne.
French Forces built and occupied fort Duquesne in Pittsburgh, and ignored warnings to leave Virginia territory.
By ignoring warnings, the English went on and attacked the French.
Labeling this as the French and Indian War between the English and the French Led by George Washington.February 10, 1763.
End of the French and Indian War.
The French and Indian War ends with a peace treaty. In which it deems Canada and the American Midwest to English. This also finalizes Great Britain's control of North America.April 6, 1764.
The Sugar Act.
The Sugar Act was a tax placed on various commodities. This included rum, lumber, food, and molasses in the British Colonies. This was one of many unfair taxes at this time.1775 - 1783
The American Revolution.
The American Revolution was a revolution of the Citizens of the 13 British Colonies out of injustices such as unfair taxing and acts. Many things would come from the American Revolution, such as the treaty of Paris being signed, the Declaration of Independence, and the end of the First British Empire.
The American Revolution ends April 15th 1783, when Congress ratifies the preliminary Peace Treaty, ending the Revolutionary War and giving the Colonies victory.July 4th, 1776.
The Declaration of Independence.
The Declaration of Independence focused that man had the natural right to change or overthrow the government that denied their rights. It also states that the United States has the right to do what all other independent states may do, and that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British.April 30, 1789.
George Washington, The First President. 1789-1799.
The 1st President, George Washington was inaugurated in New York City and John Adams was elected as his Vice President.
By 1797, John Adams became the 2nd President.
By 1799, George Washington, the former 1st President of the United States and the 1st commander of the Revolution passes at his estate in Virginia.
