In this chapter, Bruno is forced to begin his schooling again, and a private teacher begins teaching Bruno all about history, and not allowing him to have creativity in himself. Now that he is starting school again, he can't explore anymore, which only adds to the problem that he isn't allowed to play and there is no entertainment. One day, when he was feeling especially sad about no exploration, he just decides to go out against his mothers wishes, to see what's out there.
