Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Find answers to common questions about using Time.Graphics, managing your account, and Premium features.

Premium subscription

Premium access is provided through a 2-Day plan that renews automatically. Each renewal is processed as a separate Stripe payment (not a Stripe subscription). We do not store your card details in our databases except for the last four digits and card brand name (Visa, Mastercard, etc.). The current plan and price can always be checked on the Premium page and in your account settings.
You can't edit the timeline. Private timelines remain accessible but cannot be edited until you renew your subscription. Public timelines are not affected.
Yes, we offer individual discounts on a case-by-case basis. We also reward users who help spread the word about Time.Graphics with personalized Premium discounts.
We currently offer a 2-Day Premium plan that renews automatically until you cancel. There is no separate monthly or annual plan at this time. For longer access, simply keep auto-renewal active for as long as you need. You can cancel at any time in your account settings.

Use in education

Premium subscription for educational institutions is discounted based on the number of teachers and students. Please read details here.

General questions

Each timeline can be set to private, public, or shared by link.
Private timelines are a Premium feature. To create a new private timeline or make an existing one private, please upgrade to Premium.
Click any empty area in the editor to open the carousel and select Grouping. Then click on each event you want to add to the group. Once the first event is added, you can rename the group, adjust colors, add a description, and more. Watch the video tutorial: How to use the Grouping feature.
Premium users can copy any timeline using the Duplicate button on the timeline page. The new copy will be set to private by default.
Open the page with your timeline and click Settings button.
Click the camera icon at the top of the editor (next to the Save button) to add or change the background cover. You can drag and drop an image, select a file from your device, or paste a direct URL to the image.
Click the light bulb icon in the top section of the Editor.
To discard any unsaved changes made in the Editor, please click the Discard  icon next to the Save button.
There are two ways to delete a timeline:
1. Hover over the user icon in the top-right corner and select My Timelines. Find the timeline you want to delete, hover over the three-dot menu, and click the Trash icon.
2. Open the timeline page, click the Settings button, scroll to the bottom, and click Delete timeline.
Note: This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
You can permanently delete your account with all of your timelines. Hover the mouse over the user icon in the top right corner and choose Settings. Scroll down and click Delete account link.
Open your timeline page and click the Download button. The export editor will open, where you can choose the file format, adjust quality, toggle transparent background, and set a custom date range.
To download timelines without a watermark, upgrade to Premium.
Once you've added a background cover to your timeline, it will be included automatically in all exports.
Yes, you can attach as many media files as you want.
Please make sure you are logged into the same account you used to create the missing timeline. If you still can't find it, contact us at support@time.graphics.
Please click Embed button on the timeline page, copy the code and paste it to your website.
Click anywhere in the editor to open the carousel, hover over the Google icon, and select Calendar. Follow the prompts to grant Time.Graphics access to your Google Calendar, then choose which calendar to display on your timeline. Watch the tutorial for a step-by-step walkthrough:
Make sure you've granted Time.Graphics permission to access your basic account data. If you're still unable to log in, please report the issue to support@time.graphics.
Make sure you have access to the email address you used to register on Time.Graphics. Hover over the Account icon and select Confirm email.
If you still haven't received the email within 48 hours of registration, please contact us at support@time.graphics.

Payment questions

Yes — creating public timelines is completely free. Free accounts have some limitations, which can be temporarily lifted. Check the Free section on the Premium page for details. To create private timelines or share by link, you'll need to upgrade to Premium.
Yes! We offer discounts for staff, faculty, and students at accredited educational institutions. Contact us at support@time.graphics to learn more.
The only difference is the price! Educational licenses include full access to all Premium features.
Premium is available as a 2-Day plan that renews automatically every two days until cancelled. There is no separate monthly, annual, or two-year plan. Simply keep auto-renewal active for as long as you need access. You can cancel at any time in your account settings, or contact us at support@time.graphics if you need further assistance.
Public timelines always stay available. Private timelines remain accessible but you will lose the ability to edit them once Premium expires. Please compare all the premium features at the Premium page.
When you purchase Premium, your payment method is saved securely with Stripe. Approximately 6 hours before your current Premium period expires, a new charge is initiated automatically for another 2-Day period. This continues until you cancel auto-renewal in your account settings.
Premium renews automatically every 2 days. Each charge is a scheduled renewal, not a separate purchase. If you no longer need Premium, you can cancel auto-renewal in your account settings. Your access will remain active until the current period ends.
If a renewal charge fails, the system retries up to 3 times at approximately 6-hour intervals. If all attempts fail, auto-renewal is disabled and your Premium expires at the end of the current period. You can make a new purchase or update your payment method at any time on the Premium page.
Bonus time is additional Premium access granted based on your payment history. It extends your Premium expiry date beyond the standard 2-Day period. Bonus time does not affect or delay automatic renewals — the next charge still occurs approximately 6 hours before the (extended) expiry.
Go to your account settings on time.graphics and disable auto-renewal. When you cancel, we stop initiating future renewal charges. Your Premium access stays active until the end of the current paid period (including any bonus time). There is no Stripe customer portal — cancellation is managed entirely on our website.

Payment issues

Premium is applied automatically, though in some cases you may need to log out and log back in. If your account hasn't been upgraded within 24 hours, please contact us at support@time.graphics or use the feedback form.
Yes, we can make a refund in case you did a double payment. Please note that refunds are processed with Stripe payment processing fees deducted (approximately 1-5% + $0.31). For example, a refund of a $4.90 payment typically results in approximately $4.44 USD being returned. Please send the request using Feedback form or contact us via email support@time.graphics.
We can provide payment receipts for Premium purchases. Each Stripe payment generates a receipt automatically. For additional invoicing requests, please contact support@time.graphics
