25 marzo 1911 anni - Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire TURNING POINT

Descrizione:

This disaster killed 146 workers, and resulted in the passage of 56 laws to prevent workplace disasters. These regulation laws were a change to society since the government often allowed corporations to abuse their workers, despite disasters like this being common as early as the First Industrial Revolution, as factories lacked regulations until after this event. This event was a turning point due to it bringing awareness and attention to the corrupt practices corporations were imposing on their employees that produced unsafe conditions and brought with it change and reform.
