She was the wife of the last Czar of Russia who had a strong loyalty to Rasputin. When her only son Alexis was sick she and her husband used Rasputin to heal him in 1905. After that she remained loyal to him until his death. When her husband (Nicholas the Second) went off to lead the army in WW1 she had control of the country and while people started to not like rasputin she stood loyal to him.
