Kinston was born with a condition called Bilateral Choanal Atresia. We were unaware that he had this condition while he was in utero and it took several failed extubations for doctors to finally figure it out. Once ENT diagnosed him, it took about one month for Kinston to weigh enough to have the surgery. After surgery the ENT's placed stents in new holes they drilled to hold them open. I said it looked like he had tusks like a walrus. :)
