2023.03.15 - Poolz Finance

On 2023.03.15 at 03:07 UTC, Poolz was attacked on Ethereum, BSC and Polygon. The attack exploited an integer overflow bug in the createMassPools function and was successful due to the use of an outdated version of Solidity (as of v0.8 this would revert). The Hypernative platform detected all of the attack transactions in real-time, including the initial hack that netted the attacker $38K. The estimated damage from the attack is around $650K, which could have been largely prevented by using the Hypernative platform.
