2023.02.02 - Orion

On February 2, 2023, our platform detected the hacks on Orion Protocol in real-time on two separate chains - BSC and Ethereum, due to a reentrancy issue. Substantial funds could have been saved. At 15:40 UTC our platform detected a hack of the Orion protocol on BSC, which profited the attacker ~$200K. 16 minutes later the attacker replicated the attack against Orion on Ethereum, which netted them ~$2.8M. The attacker deployed a fake token called ATK which was used to manipulate the Orion pools ATK/USDT and ATK/USDC. Funds were cashed out through Tornado Cash.
