2022.03.17 - ApeCoin Exploit

On March 17, 2022, a flashloan attack targeted ApeCoin, minutes after the ApeCoin DAO had initiated its airdrop. The attacker took a flashloan and rented BAYCs, making them eligible for the ApeCoin airdrop. After receiving 60,564 ApeCoin tokens through the airdrop, the attacker swapped them in Uniswap, and repaid the flashloan. The exploit netted the attacker over $800,000, which were transfered to a second address, and has not been removed since.
