jan 1, 1745 BC - It's a collection of 282 laws. Includes economics laws, family law, & criminal laws. These laws dictated everyday life in Babylon. The Code entrusted the messengers with the detection of violation. Civil & criminal, as well as the punishment of individuals who were found guilty of violating the Code.
