BEGINNING OF AMERICAN REVOLUTION
First battle of revolutionary war. Went to take back supplies and weapons being kept by the patriots in the towns of Lexington and Concord as well as capture the leaders. A short was fired and this so-called "shot heard round the world" caused the British line to fire the weapons at the Americans. The Americans retreated, but the leaders and supplies were not found. On the road back to Boston the British force was attacked by a larger militia (minute men), and many British soldiers were killed and wounded. THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION HAD OFFICIALLY BEGUN
