Description:
Maddie starts to learn how to weave at her schools textile art class and meets a foreign exchange student who is in the same grade as her and who is from Norway named Jonas. Jonas is a tall, thin boy with straight and wispy blonde hair, a long, sharp nose and glasses with thick, square frames. Maddie save Jonas from a group of bullies and asked him over for dinner. Jonas agreed and she introduced him to her father and mother. Jonas talks about Norway and how weaving is a Viking tradition. He also shows Maddie how to start a loom to make a textile.
