-Hungarians rebelled against their leader, a communist(Soviets) and turned to the US for support, knowing they are against communism too.
-The US was involved because they were asked for help to stop communism , their goal. The Soviets were involved because they were the ones that were being rebelled against.
-This was significant to the Cold War because the US as helping stop communism and other people were starting to notice it was wrong too, the Hungarians
