jan 5, 1922 - 1922: Glavlit, a new organisation which oversaw a more systematic censorship regime, is introduced
by Dzerzhinsky. It included putting the GPU in charge of policing every publication in the
Soviet Union, employing new professional censors, investigating all new books and compiling a list of
banned books.
