Description:
In late October and early November of 1942, British General Bernard Montgomery was able to push the Germans out of Egypt and afterwards kept pushing Rommel’s Afrika Korps back westward. Then General Dwight Eisenhower landed US troops and tanks in Africa and met up with Montgomery's troops forcing Rommel to surrender in May of 1943.
