dec 16, 1773 - Boston Tea Party
Description:
The Boston Tea Party was done to protest the Tea Act. The tea act actually made the tea cheaper for the colonists but it only further angered them. The purpose of the tea act was to save the East India company that imported the tea from bankruptcy. To protest, patriots and sons of liberty disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and went to the Boston Harbour to dump over a million dollars worth of tea into the water. This was one of the most important events in the American revolution.
