oct 7, 1763 - Royal Proclamation is issued.

Description:

The royal proclamation was issued by King George following Britain's acquisition of French territory in North America after the Seven Years War. King George forbade American colonists to settle past a boundary drawn along the Appalachian mountains. This proclamation angered the Americans who desired to settle into the west to farm and control the land. The purpose of the Proclamation was to conciliate with the Native Americans who had problems with settlers encroaching on their territory.
