Description:
Was started by former officers and had the goal to drive out troops and carpetbaggers from the South. They wanted to achieve full control of the Democratic Party in order to have a seperation the states. The Klan fell once 3 acts were created to combat the violence and made them a federal crime to not let free slaves vote and outlawing the enitre Klan.
