feb 10, 1763 - End of Seven Years War

Description:

Britain had won the Seven Years War but at a great cost. The war made Britain the main power house in Europe but had put Britain deep in debt. In order to pay the debt off, Britain enacted tax policies to pay it off. Britain decided that their colonies should be taxed more because they had gained the most because of Britain's victory in the war. These acts would lead to unrest among the colonies because the colonists felt that they were being taxed without representation and that they did not need so many British troops in the colonies.
