mar 8, 1995 - Night Three
Description:
1 Minute and 17 seconds for the elevator.
Funtime Foxy has time to show up.
Due to unforeseen malfunctions from the day's shows, it becomes necessary for technicians to attempt to disconnect Funtime Freddy's Power Module. To type the least, they are unsuccessful. After making it past Funtime Foxy to reach Funtime Freddy, he attacks them [156]. Luckily for them, jumpscares are usually not what actually kills people, and they survive the assault. Although, allowing them to try again would be inefficient, so they save the work for Eggs Benedict to do later on his shift.
See [Recovery and Physical Therapy].
Eggs comes back for the pivotal third night of his thriving new career, where he really gets to ask himself questions like “What am I doing with my life?, What would my friends say?, and Will I ever see my family again?” [157]. To help Eggs reach a more stable and relaxed state of mind, he is offered a musical selection, to help make the elevator ride as relaxing and therapeutic as possible. Some options from their wide selection include, contemporary jazz, classical, rainforest ambiance, and more. Handunit has Eggs type the first few letters of the selection of music he would like to hear into the keypad. He puts in a single letter, but Handunit knows Eggs so well that he can autocorrect it to Casual Bongos for him [158]. Now that Eggs' elevator experience has been customized to his needs, he is thoroughly relaxed, and Handunit can get down to business. The business of his docked wages, that is, but at least Eggs was not making minimum wage before that.
As Eggs moves on to the Primary Control Module, Handunit fills him in on the situation regarding Funtime Freddy, meaning he will have to perform maintenance that he may or may not be skilled enough to do. Eggs will need to cross the Funtime Auditorium in order to reach Parts and Service on the other side. Before that though, Eggs needs to check the Ballora Gallery first, as per usual, Ballora has been dismembered by the Minireenas. They will put her back together… [159]. Since it is pretty important to make sure she is on stage before Eggs crosses, they check the Funtime Auditorium next. She is not on stage, but Handunit seems to think it is good enough for Eggs to cross anyway.
Handunit tells Eggs there is no need to check on Circus Baby for the night, and he should refrain from entering unauthorized areas. The vent to Circus Baby immediately unlocks after Handunit finishes, so Eggs immediately enters the unauthorized area to check on Circus Baby [160]. Eggs hides under the desk again, since he just KNOWS that is where the lore of the story is. Circus Baby confesses to Eggs about that one time she committed second degree murder. Eggs simply does not care and rudely just carries on with his duties once story time is done.
Eggs returns to the Primary Control Module and proceeds directly into the Funtime Auditorium. Handunit explains Funtime Foxy's unusually unique activation requirements, allowing Eggs to finally use his flash beacon, only for the oddly specific purpose of getting his bearings and to avoid bumping into anything. Even then, Handunit tells Eggs to use it as sparingly as possible. He may or may not randomly bear witness to Yenndo, that one obscure character mentioned way earlier [144]. Although Eggs successfully crosses the Funtime Auditorium, it can safely be said that it was not a funtime for him.
Once Eggs enters Parts and Service, he comes face to face with Funtime Freddy sitting in front of him. Luckily, as Handunit points out, Funtime Freddy is out of power, making Eggs' job much easier. Handunit guides him through the riskless maintenance to access the Primary Power Module in Funtime Freddy's chest, accompanied by some cheap scares. Eggs removes the Primary Power Module and is subsequently required to remove the Secondary Power Module from Bon-Bon, it should be easy right? Wrong, since Eggs looks back to see that Bon-Bon is conveniently missing. Eggs lures him out of the darkness and is quick enough to deactivate Bon-Bon, before he can duck away from the light. It would be embarrassingly stupid to get attacked by something like that. Now that Eggs has acquired both of the power modules, all he has to do is backtrack through the Funtime Auditorium to go back home. Ballora may have become deaf and paralyzed on Eggs' last return trip, but not Funtime Foxy. She jumpscares Eggs into submission on his way back [119], making Funtime Foxy is an even worse cheater than the original Foxy in that regard.
Funtime Foxy kidnaps Eggs and takes him into the Scooping Room [161]. Although it is called the Scooping Room and this would be a great opportunity to do so, ironically, these Eggs are left unscooped [162]. Instead, Eggs is just stuffed into the unknown spring lock suit [125], but this does not result in any discomfort or death [163]. Funtime Foxy has the manufacturer provided crank conveniently on hand and knows how to use it.
Anyway, while Eggs is inside the suit, the spring locks never loosen from his heartbeat or breathing [164]. Meanwhile, his employers realize that he never left the building. So, their solution is to just look at the three total cameras the whole day and do nothing else about it whatsoever when he cannot be found. By the way, Eggs has been rendered unconscious this entire time, not from Funtime Foxy's jumpscare, but as a withdrawal symptom from missing his daily dose of popcorn and nightly episode of “The Immortal and the Restless”.
