Description:

In 1937, the Empire of Japan began an expansion across the Pacific, similar to that of Germany and the Kingdom of Italy, but in Asia. The Japanese Empire was not only interested in that sector of Asia, as as the months went by, the Japanese army invaded Southeast Asian islands to annex them to their territory. The Imperial Japanese Navy was very powerful and managed to dominate many Asian territories such as the Commonwealth of the Philippines, British Malaysia, French Indochina, British Burma, British Singapore, the Netherlands East Indies and British Hong Kong, among others. In addition, he conquered one by one many islands of the Pacific Ocean, fighting a bloody battle in those places.

In its expansion, the Empire of Japan also invaded territories and colonies of France, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and the United States, having to confront the troops of those countries for the conquest of each place. However, with the United States' entry into the war in 1941 and the strengthening of the British and Chinese, the Japanese were losing ground in the contest. From the end of 1942, Japan began to gradually retreat at the mercy of a series of Allied offensives. By 1945, the Japanese Empire was subjected to a series of bombings and attacks that destroyed their cities and weakened the country. By August, the atomic bombings led to the unconditional surrender of the Empire of Japan and the subsequent occupation of the country until 1952.
