Description:
WW1 was a war where Trench Warfare was used for the first time. It proved to be difficult to get the enemy out of their trench, so we started to develop new technology. Both side used machine guns to stop the enemy from reaching their trench, and mustard gas to get the enemy out of their trench. The advance in technology created an area called no man's land, where if you tried to get to the other trench you would get shot or exploded by artillery. Then after you made it through that you could throw gas into the trench to make the enemy come out or retreat.
