Description:
Truman, determined not to let another war spin out of control, sent U.S. troops to help defend Korea. The UN unanimously voted to support this decision, only since the Soviets had been boycotting the meetings as of recent. However, Truman did not give a formal deceleration of war, and sent troops stationed into Japan to enter North Korea. Yet these troops weren't properly conditioned, and quickly joined the South Koreans in retreating.
