aug 25, 1862 - Evacuation of New Ulm
Description:
There was little to no food and ammunation left in New Ulm and they were scared of another attack about 2000 people evacuated to Mankato, some even went to St. Peter and St. Paul. People began coming back to New Ulm in early September and small military posts spring up throughout the country. In December the town officially reorganizes its government.
