Description:
The annuities are late, and the Dakota don’t have any money to buy the food they needed to survive. With so much tension and hunger building, four young Dakota men kill five white settlers in attempt to get food by force. The Dakota started sending attacks to the settlers often after that. Most of the Dakota that chose to fight were young men, but most of the Dakota chose not to fight.
