Sibley attempts a peace treaty but the Dakota outright reject it. Sibley and his troops camp at Lone Tree Lake. A group of U.S soldiers looks for food and unfortunately stumbles upon a band of Dakota. It was the last large battle of the war and resulted in the Dakotas defeat.
