Description:
The Buddhist Crisis was an extremely controversial call and questioning of Ngo Dinh Diem's authority. During this crisis, Ngo Dinh Diem commands to open fire on Buddhist protestors for wanting religious freedom to fly their flag. This event caused nationwide protests and self-immolations of the Buddhists to occur. This caught the United State's attention and caused them to want to remove Diem from power as his image was not sustained in a great light anymore.
