jun 1, 1791 - June 1791: The Flight to Varennes The royal family attempts to flee Paris and go to Varennes. They did not want to deaf with all the problems in France at the time. During the attempted flight, the King. was recognised by a postmaster, and was taken back to Paris. he could no longer be trusted.
