Allows some habitual offenders to enter work release program
Description:
Relates to work release eligibility for habitual offenders, provides any person sentenced as a habitual offender shall be eligible to participate in a work release program during the last year of the term if the offender has obtained a low-risk level designation as determined by a validated risk assessment instrument approved by the secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
