Description:
Camille Flammarion noticed how "canali" resembled with the word "channels", the man-made canals, and later advocated for the existence of Mars inhabitants and suggested they may be more advanced than humans. He also created a map of Mars based on "canali" drawings and named geographical locations after famous astronomers from all over the world.
