8h 6min, mar 25, 1911 y - Triangle Shirtwaist Company Fire
Description:
The fire killed 146 workers. Unfortunately, the families of the workers did not receive any compensation of any sorts. This caught the attention of many progressives and they would soon begin to fight for insurance programs for workers. An outcome of this would be states passing legislation to provide relief to the families of people killed or injured in workplace or mining accidents.
