John brown was an abolitionist who wanted to create a slave revolt at Harper's ferry. in order to make a revolt he hoped that the slaves would fight with him but they didn't. as a result he was publicly executed and increased sectionalism. abolitionist feared that slaves lives and their lives were a danger to their economically livelihoods.
