Description:
Spacewar! was a space game developed in 1962. It was written for the newly installed DEC PDP-1 at the Massachusetts institute of technology. After the games initial creation, it was further expanded upon by the institutes students and lecturers. It was also spread to other PDP-1 installations making it the first known video game to be played on multiple installations. The game consisted of two players "the needle" and "the wedge", these players engaged in a dogfight manoeuvring the gravity well of a star.
