Description:
Just after the Union victory, President Lincoln was shot in the head at Ford's Theater in Washington. The assassin, John Wilkes Booth was a confederate sympathizer and had intended to kidnap the president earlier but failed. In his plan b option, he walked into the president's show box, shot him in the head, and ran, leading police on a week long chase, where he was finally killed in a burning barn by Union forces.
