may 22, 1843 - The Oregon Trail
Description:
The Oregon Trail is a historic 2,000-mile trail used by American pioneers living in the Great Plains in the 19th century. The emigrants traveled by wagon in search of fertile land in Oregon's Willamette Valley.
With the Oregon Trail in place trees in Oregon would not have to be cut down as a clear trail had already been shown to the immigrants.
