jun 9, 1990 - Northwest Forest Plan
Description:
Due to the recent publication from The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service listing the Northern Spotted Owl and some other animals as "Threatened." The Northwest Forest Plan, administered by the USDA in 1990, prevents the chopping down of habitats that most of these endangered animals like to dwell.
Effect on Oregon Forestry:
This in turn prevents the cutting of trees and other habitats, as used by these endangered species. This might stunt the high demand of wood, however it is unlikely it will.
